California State University Long Beach Library Addition and Renovation

Description

This project consisted of the construction of a new 90 FT high bay 100,000 SF automated book retrieval structure attached to an existing library and a new three-story elevator tower. Scope included major renovations to the existing six-story library, including a new main entrance, computer stations, reconfiguration of HVAC ductwork, and replacement of existing air handlers on each floor. Existing open space on the second and third floors were converted into new faculty offices and classrooms.
